Synopsis

A series of thefts from the town's lakes has prompted the familiar call for our hero. Penry, in the course of demonstrating his newest creation – an automatic shoe polisher – inadvertently misplaces Sarges’ boots. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Rosemary’s prized fish, Emma Jean, has lost her appetite due to an affection for Sargent Flint's stuffed companion.
