Synopsis

As the shadow of war lengthens across Europe and the country braces for its most perilous time, the Women’s Institute members discover they too have struggles to confront. Alison seeks an escape from her difficult circumstances, while Frances strives to support Pat before it is too late. Miriam withholds a vital piece of information from Bryn, and Richard and Laura acknowledge that their secret may soon be revealed.
