Synopsis

The pain was a relentless tide, washing over him from the depths of his abdomen. He’d been brought back into the operating theater, the urgency of the situation a stark contrast to the fading light in his eyes. A grim diagnosis had been delivered: peritonitis. Later, as the initial shock subsided, a new and terrifying sensation crept in – a chilling numbness spreading downwards. He tried to move his legs, but there was no response.
