Synopsis

A heart surgeon named Anton Meyer faces a daunting operation: a newborn baby. He seeks the counsel of a colleague, but harbors doubts about the procedure's success. Elsewhere, Julie Fitzjohn offers support to a young mother grappling with a painful decision. Simultaneously, house officer Victoria Merrick finds herself under increasing pressure following a life-saving intervention on a patient named Chris Woodhouse. Overwhelmed, she begins to self-medicate at work.
