Synopsis

Laura’s illness, a terminal cancer that had left her body frail, stole even the simple comfort of rest. She could find little purchase for her head, only two-thirds of the living room couch offering a semblance of support. The couch itself was hemmed in by a chaotic landscape of plastic bins, toys, boxes overflowing with scrapbooking supplies and crafts, decaying furniture, stacks of magazines, and a carpet marred by the lingering scent of cat urine.
