Synopsis

Andrew recognized in himself a troubling echo of his mother’s tendencies, a compulsion toward accumulation that shadowed his desire for a simpler existence. Lydia, too, was driven by a similar need, determined to clear the clutter from her home so her son might find a peaceful sanctuary there upon his return from the hospital and begin to heal.
