Synopsis

For as long as their adult children can recall, David and Elizabeth have existed in a state of mutual dependence, bound by a shared compulsion to accumulate possessions. Their attachment to items advertised on television – elaborate lamps reminiscent of Tiffany designs, for example – led them to remortgage their home. David alone possesses over forty such lamps, the majority still sealed in their original packaging. The house is now infested with mice, and Elizabeth’s physician has warned of pot
