Synopsis

Kit O'Brady, seeking a promising racehorse and a fresh start, arrived in town. MacLeod remembered him from their days in Gold Rush San Francisco, when Kit had owned the Double Eagle Saloon. A poker game had cost Kit the saloon, and he’d held Amanda responsible for a cascade of misfortune ever since. Now, with Amanda’s unexpected reappearance coinciding with Kit's arrival, MacLeod found himself struggling to keep them apart, and more importantly, to prevent a deadly confrontation between them.
