Synopsis

When John Kirin, a religious leader, dies on the operating table before Anne’s eyes, his followers proclaim a miracle. MacLeod sees something else entirely. He remembers Kirin – then known as Kage – as a brutal figure who slaughtered prisoners of war in Spain and abandoned Cambodian children to their fate under the Khmer Rouge.
