Synopsis

Driven by a desire for a swimming pool, Adonis’s attendants unwittingly roused the ancient earth goddess, Gaia, who then laid upon him a terrible curse: he would perish before the sun set. Humiliated by this pronouncement, Adonis was compelled to abandon his pride and seek assistance from Hercules.
