The premise concerning the challenges of young adulthood seemed promising, but this drama turned out to be a frustratingly shallow experience, offering little beyond an empty imitation of what it could have been. The characters felt underdeveloped and two-dimensional, the dialogue often elicited discomfort, and there was no consistent appeal to keep viewers engaged. Instead, the show presented a polished and overly sweet depiction that felt exaggerated rather than genuine. The narratives themselves lacked depth; attempts at dramatic moments were unsuccessful due to a general absence of substance, sincerity, and dedication among most characters and within their relationships. This superficial treatment prevented any real connection with the story. Without question, the second season represented a noticeable decline from an already problematic first outing. Yoo Eun Jae was a weak point in the initial run, but replacing the actress only amplified the problem—the new performer struggled to embody the role, despite clearly attempting to replicate the original’s style, and her delivery felt completely different. The contrast was readily apparent, even if the initial performance wasn't stellar. Sadly, things deteriorated further; her storyline, backstory, conflicts, motivations, and character development were a poorly constructed combination of inept writing and a lack of creativity, which felt disrespectful to anyone with discerning taste. To its credit, Ye Ri & Eun Bin delivered noticeably better performances in the second season, and their characters seemed more appropriately cast. Ultimately, the drama proved to be an uninspired and unremarkable addition that failed to create any memorable or positive impressions. A regrettable detail for viewers: streaming platforms like Netflix have removed background music and shortened the first episode by over three minutes.
