Synopsis

Seeking respite from the city, Yuko Murai and her father relocate to a farm. There, they find an unexpected ally in their neighbor, Ryosuke Sekine, who offers assistance with their work. However, their initial hopes are dashed as pests decimate their crops. Tragedy strikes when Yuko’s father succumbs to alcoholism. In the aftermath, Yuko discovers that Sekine had deliberately sabotaged their harvest, and a fierce desire for retribution consumes her. Yet, Hajime Shibata intervenes, dissuading her
