Synopsis

Desperate and burdened by considerable debt, geophysicist Bernard Brown devises a scheme. He intends to trigger an explosion within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, directing a torrent of lava down the mountainside and towards the city of Hilo. The only way to avert this catastrophe, he demands, is for the Governor to deliver a ransom of half a million dollars.
