Synopsis

On the prairie, Matt and Chester discovered Rod Ellison, shot and paralyzed, and brought him back to Dodge for medical attention. Ben Witter, with his characteristic bluntness, informed Matt that he was a deputy sheriff from Pueblo, there to arrest Ellison for robbery. However, Matt remained wary of Witter's unwillingness to present a proper warrant for the arrest.
