Synopsis

Zeno Smith, a man marked by a past life as a gunman, finds himself in a difficult position. He can either assist the ambitious gambler, Hank Fergus, in robbing Mr. Jonas's general store, or risk Fergus revealing to Tommy, a twelve-year-old orphan, the complete history of Zeno’s slide into poverty and addiction—a history that begins with the moment he hesitated to fight Fergus in a gunfight.
