Synopsis

Joan Shepherd desired Anna May to marry Steven Rogers, not Newly or Orlo, who eked out a living as a farmer. Anna May, however, was inclined to court Newly. He appeared unexpectedly to offer her a ride, informing her that he wouldn't be returning for some time. A confrontation ensued between Orlo and Newly over Anna May’s affections. In the struggle, Orlo struck his head against the wagon, suffering a blow that left him with amnesia.
