Synopsis

An explosion rocks a Seattle highway, a gas tanker's violent rupture leaving a trail of injuries, among them paramedic Matthew. Meredith and Jo offer solace to a distraught mother whose child is afflicted by an inexplicable ailment. Elsewhere, Owen finds a connection with a young boy whose parents are fighting for their lives. And as circumstances demand, hidden aspects of character emerge when Alex is compelled to collaborate with Jo's boyfriend on a patient teetering on the brink.
