Synopsis

With the first day of the hospital merger underway, the staff of Seattle Grace and Mercy West find themselves in a competitive landscape, vying for coveted surgeries and career advancement. Simultaneously, Arizona offers support to an incandescently angry Callie, whose father, Mr. Torres, has enlisted the aid of a priest in an attempt to persuade her to pursue relationships with men. And Izzie finds herself acutely aware of the intensity of her new surgical rivals.
