Synopsis

A critical shortage of ventilators in the hospital weighs heavily on the doctors, particularly when a mother and daughter, both battling COVID-19, find themselves in a desperate competition for the remaining machine. Elsewhere, Hayes’ sister-in-law, whose multiple sclerosis already presents significant health challenges, is hospitalized with a kidney stone. And at the sister’s house, a few more children arrive, leaving Amelia to spend the day as an impromptu caregiver.
