Synopsis

Hope flickers within the surgical team as they tend to a young woman fighting for survival after a savage assault. Elsewhere, Meredith risks her professional standing to save a newborn in the hospital nursery, while the interns discover that true skill in medicine demands more than just knowledge of the body.
