Synopsis

Determined to secure funding for Oliver’s trip to a convention, Fire Chief Joe Carson cleverly appointed him as his assistant. However, Oliver quickly discovered that the Hooterville Fire Department was remarkably disorganized and woefully unprepared. His suggestions for improvements sparked considerable dissent, ultimately leading to Uncle Joe's removal from office and Oliver’s unexpected appointment as fire chief.
