Synopsis

Oliver resolved to celebrate a traditional Christmas, and for that he would fell a tree from his own land. Mr. Haney cautioned him against it, explaining that such an act was technically illegal, even on private property. So Oliver went to Drucker’s and inquired of Sam whether such a law truly existed. Mr. Drucker, ever the salesman, attempted to persuade him toward an artificial tree—complete with a squirter for simulated pine scent, along with imitation candy canes and popcorn garlands. He
