Synopsis

Bartlett Sher’s lively production brings Rossini’s spirited comedy back to the stage. Aigul Akhmetshina shines as Rosina, the spirited heroine, supported by a brilliant cast that includes Jack Swanson, making his Metropolitan Opera debut as her clandestine love, Count Almaviva. Andrey Zhilikhovsky portrays Figaro, the celebrated barber of Seville, with Peter Kálmán as Dr. Bartolo and Alexander Vinogradov as Don Basilio.
