Synopsis

Lise Davidsen returns to the Met for her second performance in this season's *Great Performances*, portraying Leonore, a woman willing to sacrifice all to liberate her husband from tyranny’s grasp. She shares the stage with David Butt Philip as the imprisoned Florestan, alongside Tomasz Konieczny as the villainous Don Pizarro, René Pape as the jailer Rocco, and Ying Fang as Marzelline.
