Synopsis

After a twenty-five-year absence, the Metropolitan Opera welcomes back Umberto Giordano’s passionate drama, starring Sonya Yoncheva as Fedora. She portrays a nineteenth-century Russian princess who becomes entangled in a dangerous love affair with Count Loris, the man who murdered her fiancé, a role sung by celebrated tenor Piotr Beczała. Rosa Feola is cast as Countess Olga, Fedora's trusted confidante, while baritone Artur Ruciński embodies the diplomat De Siriex.
