In May, a formidable assembly of opera's most compelling singers convened at the Hessisches Staatstheater in Wiesbaden, Germany. Sopranos Christine Goerke and Elza van den Heever, alongside tenor Andreas Schager and baritone Michael Volle, presented a program featuring selections from the works of Wagner and Strauss.
