Synopsis

Scott Yoo travels to Germany to study Bach’s sonatas and partitas, works universally hailed as masterpieces for solo violin. While there, Yoo uncovers a puzzle concealed within Bach's portrait. In their quest to decipher it, Yoo and his wife, the acclaimed flutist Alice Dade, make a surprising discovery: Bach drew inspiration for his melodies from Vivaldi and for his rhythms from the music of the French court.
