Synopsis

Richard III forms the concluding section of the history plays known as The Hollow Crown: The Wars of the Roses. Depicted by Shakespeare as perhaps his most infamous king, Richard navigates the royal court with ruthless cunning, relentlessly pursuing the crown. Yet, following his defeat at the Battle of Bosworth Field, the Houses of Lancaster and York reconcile, bringing an end to the Wars of the Roses and a period of intense civil conflict.
