Synopsis

The New York City Ballet’s presentation in Paris marks the first installment of a two-part celebration, showcasing four ballets by George Balanchine, the company’s co-founder, each set to music by French composers. The program begins with Gounod's *Walpurgisnacht* Ballet and concludes with Ravel’s *La Valse*. Both evenings are introduced by Peter Martins, the New York City Ballet’s Ballet Master in Chief.
