Synopsis

Richard Eyre's celebrated production of Carmen features Georgian mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili as the captivating gypsy, a role she has performed to widespread acclaim at opera houses around the globe. Opposite her sings Aleksandrs Antonenko as the tormented soldier Don José. The orchestra is led by Pablo Heras-Casado.
