Synopsis

Susan Stroman, known for her work on Broadway, makes her Metropolitan Opera debut with a spectacularly staged production of Lehár's lively operetta, *The Merry Widow*. Soprano Renée Fleming expands her repertoire with the role of Hanna, the wealthy widow. The cast features baritone Nathan Gunn as Danilo, tenor Alek Shrader, baritone Sir Thomas Allen, and Broadway favorite Kelli O’Hara, all conducted by Sir Andrew Davis.
