Synopsis

Franco Zeffirelli's production of *La Bohème*, the Metropolitan Opera's most frequently performed opera, features Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo and Latvian soprano Kristine Opolais. Opolais garnered considerable attention for her company debut as Mimì, having sung the title role in Puccini’s *Madama Butterfly* the previous evening, with only a few hours' preparation.
