Synopsis

Renée Fleming returns to one of her most celebrated roles: Rusalka, the water spirit from Dvořák’s poignant opera of tragic love and loss. The tale draws inspiration from Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid," reimagining a world of myth and longing. Conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin guides a distinguished cast featuring Piotr Beczala, Dolora Zajick, Emily Magee, and John Relyea as Rusalka’s father, the Water Sprite.
