Synopsis

James Levine, Music Director of the Metropolitan Opera, conducts Verdi’s magnificent final opera, "Falstaff," marking his first Great Performances engagement at the Met in nearly two years. The production, featuring Ambrogio Maestri, Angela Meade, and Stephanie Blythe, represents the first new staging of "Falstaff" at the Met in half a century.
