Synopsis

The San Francisco Symphony’s Centennial Season premiered with a gala broadcast, led by Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas. The two-hour program, hosted by author Amy Tan, captured Tilson Thomas conducting the orchestra alongside two of the most celebrated artists of our era: the legendary violinist Itzhak Perlman and the vibrant pianist Lang Lang.
