Synopsis

Carnegie Hall marked its 120th year of existence on May 5, 2011, with a gala concert. The program featured Alan Gilbert leading the New York Philharmonic, joined by esteemed artists Emanuel Ax, Yo-Yo Ma, Gil Shaham, and Audra McDonald. The concert celebrated the works of Beethoven, Ellington, Dvorak, and Gershwin.
