Synopsis

David Leveaux’s elegant production, featuring lavish costumes and sets designed by Gregory Gale and Tom Pye, faithfully captures the spirit of Rostand’s 1897 romantic tragedy. The play overflows with daring Gascons, treacherous aristocrats, affected dandies, and brutal thugs. It tells the story of Cyrano (Kline), the celebrated poet-swordsman, who is consumed by longing for his radiant cousin Roxane (Garner), yet tormented by self-consciousness over his prominent nose.
