Each season follows Richard Rawlings and his team at Gas Monkey Garage as they breathe new life into neglected and often heartbreakingly abandoned Mopar cars – think Dodge Chargers, Plymouth Barracudas, and other iconic vehicles from the late 60s and early 70s. It’s a race against time and budget to resurrect these automotive legends, battling rust, mechanical mayhem, and Richard's signature demanding style, all while striving to get them back on the road and roaring once more.
The Season 8 premiere sees the Ghouls reunite to complete the legendary General Lee, a vehicle with a remarkable history: it is, in fact, the actual car used in the 2005 "Dukes of Hazzard" film and holds the record for its freeway jump.
Mark commenced the assembly of the 440 cubic foot, four-barrel carburetor destined for the 1970 Plum Crazy Challenger, a vehicle formerly owned by someone who had appeared on television.
