Synopsis

In Herefordshire, Kevin McCloud encounters estate manager Ed Waghorn and his wife Rowena, a family striving for near self-sufficiency on their smallholding. They are in the process of building a timber-framed house, a project undertaken with recycled materials, timber sourced from local woodlands, and stone gathered from the land itself. Yet, as construction has become inextricably woven into the fabric of their lives, it appears their original vision may be fading.
