Synopsis

Kevin McCloud documents the metamorphosis of a substantial, Grade II listed timber-framed barn in Essex into a home and studio for artists Freddie Robbins and Ben Coode-Adams. Their design prioritizes open interior spaces to showcase their collection of toys, yet the conversion of the 500-year-old structure – seven times the size of a typical three-bedroom dwelling – presents considerable difficulties.
