Synopsis

The news of Margaret’s father losing his job as a botanist brought about a peculiar change in him. He retreated, spending an increasing amount of time in the basement, his behavior growing increasingly strange. Yet, his family seemed oblivious, deaf to the odd sounds emanating from below – except for Margaret. A deep unease settled within her; had her father become something other than himself? Her brother, Casey, dismissed her fears as fanciful until he discovered the truth: their father had be
