I recently discovered this series just a short time ago and initially planned to watch only a few episodes. Now, after watching seven seasons, I’m disappointed that it has been taken off the air. The beginning of the show felt like a gentle story with characters who had brown hair—nothing too remarkable, since it was made by Hallmark. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see the storyline incorporate more diversity. It was a delightful and unexpected development. I found myself growing fond of this program because there wasn't any harsh language, and the people were generally decent, which felt reminiscent of how life used to be. This show strayed from the usual Hallmark happily-ever-after trope. During this period of worldwide health concerns, it was comforting to escape into another world. I’m wishing that a different network would continue the story with an eighth season and beyond; we could all benefit from something positive right now.
