The earlier series, *The Fosters*, had political themes and occasionally felt somewhat didactic, yet it generally tackled worthwhile subjects. This new installment doesn't even attempt accuracy or portray any semblance of authenticity; instead, it functions like a program for adherents to a specific belief system. I can’t grasp how viewers continue to award it favorable scores.
