Synopsis

Maisie, a girl more comfortable covered in grease than lace, had been assisting Bookman around the garage for months. She desperately hoped J.J. would ask her to the upcoming dance, but he seemed to regard her as simply another one of the boys – a perception that persisted until a chance encounter at a dimly lit, disreputable bar.
