From the opening moments, the series had me completely engaged, especially knowing Billy Bob Thornton was starring. He lives up to expectations portraying a struggling attorney battling a major corporation and the law firm he once established. The legal proceedings were a highlight for me; I appreciated the meticulousness and his interactions with both his team and those opposing him. Thornton truly personalized the character, bringing a sense of toughness combined with quiet resolve. However, the second season missed the mark considerably, shifting into what felt like a melodramatic storyline involving drug traffickers, with almost no courtroom action. It was quite disheartening, and I’m hoping the creative team refocuses the narrative—at minimum, returning it to a setting within a courtroom.
