Synopsis

At Porcupine Creek, the miners face a precarious future. Eighty days into the operation, they lag behind schedule, and the Hoffmans, depleted of funds, issue a stark ultimatum: recover gold worth ten thousand dollars within the next two days, or the families will be forced to return to Oregon. Simultaneously, frustration mounts as Dorsey battles with the wave table, culminating in a violent outburst.
