Gleipnir feels weighed down by the ideas it tries to explore. It presents a narrative centered on otherworldly entities, extraordinary abilities with the potential to disrupt societal structures, and numerous displays of bodies. The characters are fairly typical: the main character is immature and lacking in strength, unremarkable like plain bread; one female character is overly sexualized, making it difficult to engage with her seriously; and the storyline doesn’t seem to progress beyond its initial setup. It's a tedious and repetitive experience, though the show does have some redeeming qualities regarding its technical aspects—the backgrounds are detailed and visually appealing, the animation is generally acceptable, and there’s a well-executed fight sequence near the conclusion. The sound design is adequate, nothing more. I would suggest skipping this if you don't enjoy uninspired characters or convoluted plots. If fanservice is your primary interest, it might suffice... It earns a 4/10 from me.
