It was surprisingly intense and also really funny. I initially wasn’t sure whether I’d enjoy this series after watching the first episode, but I felt compelled to finish it, and ultimately I found it amusing and diverting. Compared to other anime I've seen recently, this one is considerably more exaggerated and over-the-top, leaning heavily on comedy rather than other elements to engage viewers. While it’s common for anime to heighten situations beyond what would be typical, this show takes it even further than I’m accustomed to. It seems the creators are fully aware of how absurd the plot is, and they embrace that absurdity to amplify the humor. That's my impression of the series overall. When characters make strange choices or when something ridiculous occurs in the storyline, the show acknowledges it and uses those moments for comedic effect. I believe, generally speaking, it was successful at this. It seems like the creators want viewers to not take things too seriously. Also, I’m happy to say that it wasn't as predictable as I feared; based on the cover art, I expected the main character to acquire a third and then a fourth girlfriend, but the series took a different path that I preferred. One criticism would be that the characters don’t really develop much throughout the story. They experience minor ups and downs or perhaps very small arcs within smaller storylines, but for the most part, they remain essentially unchanged. The show seems to compensate for this with its humor and entertainment value, which I think is its primary purpose anyway. In conclusion, I found this series quite funny and would be interested in watching a second season if one were produced. It’s not the greatest anime I've ever seen, but it was entertaining, and I’m happy that I gave it a try.
