Synopsis

The Sasaki family commanded considerable respect, and Tetsunosuke, a member of that esteemed lineage, had recently enlisted in the Shinsengumi. He might have found a place within the Mimawarigumi, a police force boasting an impeccable reputation, but his reputation for causing disruption led to his assignment to the Shinsengumi instead. Kondo, recognizing this, appointed Tetsu as an assistant to Hijikata, thereby burdening the seasoned officer with the demands of a new recruit.
