Synopsis

Executioner Kohei arrived under heavy guard at the Shinsengumi headquarters. He was a key figure in the Radical Joi Faction, a member of the Akatsuki Party, and notorious for having murdered thirty-five officials of the bakufu. Kondo reported that Kohei not only withstood torture, but seemed to revel in it. The Shinsengumi’s objective was to extract information from Kohei regarding a large-scale terrorist attack the Akatsuki Party was rumored to be planning. Yamazaki was assigned to the task, en
